Over more than a decade, the East Side Education Foundation has evolved from an ad hoc group of community members organized to save East Side athletics to a full-fledged support system for the East Side community.

Our 100% volunteer Board of Directors is charged with ensuring that the Foundation effectively achieves this mission. The Board reviews Foundation finances, develops realistic budgets, engages in short and long-range planning, and helps to provide adequate resources for the Foundation’s activities through direct financial contributions and board-led fundraising strategies. Board members are also expected to act as ambassadors to the community on behalf of the Foundation.

Recently, our Board of Directors set out to update the Foundation's Mission and Vision to better reflect our work and to express our unwavering support for Black students, alums, staff, and their families at this traumatic time in our nation's history. We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and will continue to do all that we can to ensure a more just and equitable society for all.
