College in My Future Program Award

The East Side Education Foundation’s College in My Future (CIF) initiative, in partnership with the East Side Union Education Foundation, was awarded the Kristy Porter Glenn Hoffman Award for Outstanding Innovative School Programs that directly enhance student success in Santa Clara County.

The CIF initiative consists of the Spartan East Side Promise, which provides a college pathway for East Side students in partnership with San José State University; a Scholarship Awards Program; a college savings component; a summer orientation program; and the Spartan Ambassadors program, featuring outstanding SJSU students who inform middle and high school students about educational opportunities.

We are proud that our efforts over the years have been recognized as we continue to focus on advancing student success within the East Side Union High School District.

Hall of Fame Nominations Due!

Do you know someone who graduated from the East Side Union High School District and has made a significant impact on society? Consider nominating them for the Thomas P. Ryan ESUHSD Hall of Fame.

Nomination forms can be found on the our website here. The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 31st.

Selected HOF honorees will be introduced at the annual HOF Alumni Social on Friday, September 11, 5:00 PM at the Water Tower Kitchen in Campbell.

Save the Date: Hall of Fame Dinner

November 13 at The Tech Interactive

Successful candidates will be honored at our annual East Side Education Hall of Fame Dinner, which will be held at The Tech Interactive on Friday, November 13, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Spartan East Side Promise, established in partnership with San José State University. Jeff Benjamin, CEO of Facilitron, will be recognized as our Honoree of the Year. Special Guest Honoree Mo Qayoumi, former president of San José State University, will also be recognized for his leadership in approving the Spartan East Side Promise.
