David is a partner in BDO’s San José office and has over 30 years of public accounting experience. During this time, he has specialized in working with high-net-worth individuals and families, including founders of closely-held businesses and C-level executives of multinational corporations. He also has extensive experience with flow-through entities, both with partnerships and S corporations.
David has worked with clients in the construction and real estate, manufacturing and distribution, technology, professional service, and retail industries. He has served as an Adjunct Professor for the Lucas Graduate School of Business at San José State University; a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Vice Chair of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), President of the CalCPA San José/Silicon Valley Chapter, and founding member of their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission; a member of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America); and founding member of Clifton LarsonAllen’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.
David also serves his community as Board Chair of The Health Trust and Chair of the San José State University One Spartan Nation (formerly known as The Spartan Foundation). He has previously served as an elected Governing Board Member of the Berryessa Union School District, and Board Member at The National Hispanic University, Alum Rock Counseling Center, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He is also a Leadership San José alum.
David earned his M.S. in Taxation and B.S. in Accounting from San José State University.
